Phuong moved to Belgium 30 years ago and, after studying Computer Science, found her path in the travel and hospitality industry. She joined our hotel in 2005 and has been an important part of our Housekeeping team ever since. What she loves most about her role is contributing to the comfort of our guests and helping create a pleasant, memorable stay, whether they’re here for a holiday, conference or meeting. She also values working in an environment that reflects qualities close to her heart: discipline, precision, organisation and cleanliness. What keeps her going every day is her team and the satisfaction of seeing happy guests. She takes pride in working alongside a team she truly enjoys and knowing that their care and dedication help make every guest’s stay a little more comfortable and memorable. 🌸 Brussels' most spectacular summer tradition is b 🌸 Brussels' most spectacular summer tradition is back! 🌸 For just four magical days (13–16 August 2026), the iconic Grand-Place transforms into a breathtaking 1,680 m² Flower Carpet—a masterpiece of ephemeral art that exists for only one long weekend before disappearing forever. This 24th edition celebrates the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Japan, with a stunning floral interpretation of Hokusai's legendary masterpiece, The Great Wave off Kanagawa. ReDeimagined by Japanese artist Hiro Sugiyama and his collective Enlightenment, the artwork will come to life using more than 500,000 dahlias, alongside Belgian-grown begonias, grasses, and bark. 🌼 Did you know? ✨ The first Brussels Flower Carpet was created in 1971 and has been enchanting visitors on the Grand-Place every two years since 1986. ✨ Measuring 70 metres long and 24 metres wide, the carpet is assembled by around 120 volunteers in less than six hours. ✨ The Flower Carpet has been part of the Brussels-Capital Region's Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2020. ✨ The event is organised by the Tapis de Fleurs de Bruxelles association, a member of the International Association of Ephemeral Arts, celebrating the beauty of art that is designed to last only a few days. 🌟 New for 2026: For the first time, a second flower carpet will bloom at the Brussels Stock Exchange (Bourse), inspired by Belgium's brewing heritage and hops. 🌙 As the sun sets, the Grand-Place becomes even more magical with a spectacular sound and light show every evening, while the balcony of Brussels Town Hall offers the perfect panoramic view of this extraordinary floral creation.
